Sites E. Tara Scurry often visits or shares with others.

  1. www.sbc.edu – My alma mater, one of the nation’s premier liberal arts and sciences colleges for women. I highly recommend this college to ambitious women seeking an individualized curriculum and customizable majors. With only about 700 students on a 3,250 acre campus on the foothills of the blue ridge mountains, Sweet Briar is particularly unique with an unparalleled equestrian program…and good cafeteria food. When people ask me what’s so special about Sweet Briar, I often ask back, “Well, did you get to ride horses for your gym class?” I received a superb education with great memories. Highly recommended.
  1. www.jhu.edu – America’s first research university, a world leader in both education and research. I’m truly impressed with my current academic home. The facilities, on-time and worldly relevant curriculum, and outstanding professors are exceptional. Highly recommended.
  1. www.suzeorman.com – Admittedly, one of my most beloved role models. I recommended following her financial advice. I've read all of her books. I highly reccomend The Money Book for the YFB for those under 30 who would like a clear, pratcical and informative understanding of money and how to live well and retire very well off. This book has been one of my favorite gifts to give friends and family since it's publication. It's a must have for anyone planning on being financially independent and literate at some point in their lives.
  1. www.earthsave.com – Healthy people, healthy planet. Informative and empowering. Besides church, this is my favorite non-profit to financially contribute to. Their newsletters and website will expose you to things you won't learn about anywhere else.
  1. www.naturalcures.com – Natural cures, alternative medicine, homeopathic medicine. Kevin Trudeau wrote an interesting and powerful book titled The Natural Cures They Don’t Want You To Know About, but unless you’re an avid reader, I recommend his audio-book set. You are more likely to finish it than the book and are able to share the disturbingly rich information more easily.
  1. www.morehouse.edu – My father, brother and numerous friends are Morehouse men. I visit the campus at least once or twice a year. I was a Queen on the Homecoming court representing the Martin Luther King, Jr International Chapel Fall of 2003. A superb institution of learning with a thick culture, outstanding professors and unique students.

  2. www.spelman.edu –Sweet Briar College is so able to adapt to its individual student needs and wants on a such an individual level, that even though I completed my B.A. in 3 years and Sweet Briar had no official exchange program with Spelman, I was still able to participate in a domestic exchange program with Spelman for a semester (domestic exchange on the account of the completely different culture, atmosphere, and ethnic composition). They truly study hard and play hard. I had an absolute blast at Spelman while getting a remarkable and enlightening education
