FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How can I write a review of Storm of Roses?

A: I've recieved many thoughtful, constructive, and encouraging emails and letters from readers, but if you'd like to share your comments with the world, you can post them with Amazon.com at Amazon Testimonial Link or at Barnes and Noble by visiting Barnes And Nobles Tesimonial Link I also use testimonial quotes and comments for marketing purposes. If you'd like to contribute your comments/testimonial quote, simply request a testimonial form by email or snail mail andI will send you a form and your comments may be posted on this website or other material. I love reading testimonal quotes and receiving your feedback!

Q: Is Storm Of Roses all of your poems?

A: No. Storm Of Roses is a collection of selected poems and short stories. Those poems that are not in Storm of Roses (SOR) are because of space and/or did not fit in with the theme of SOR. These peices may be published in a later compilation.

Q: When is your next poetry/short story book due?

A: I write poetry and short stories sporadically and as I go through additional experiences or am influenced by my environment. Eventually I’ll have enough compiled for another poetry and short story compilation. Within 3 to 6 months of its publication, I’ll post its due date on the website.

Q: I read the sneak peak synopsis/excerpt in Storm Of Roses for Book I of the Tales of Earthenstone Series. I’m looking forward to it, please tell me more!

A: Of course! Book I of the Tales of Earthenstone Series brings to life a unique society, magnifying the intimate details of Amaron VelKoina, the first husband to Queen Xerah IV. The synopsis for Book II is already complete. The poem, “Confession of Unyielding Love” in Storm Of Roses is actually a poem from one of the characters to another in Book II. Book II is more emotionally charged and suspenseful than it’s more enthralling and tantalizing predecessor. I won’t be working on it in depth until the first novel is complete. My goal is to have at least three powerful and gripping novels flawlessly linked together in a compelling series for the delight of my readers. For the latest updates, please visit the Upcoming Works and News sections of the website.

Q: Do you give readings for special events?

A: Yes, it would be an honor to share my poems and short stories with your group! I also llook forward to signing in your book store. Please contact me at etaras1@etarascurry.com or call 301-404-7459 for availability.

Q: I see there will be multiple avenues to purchase your book. Which is the best?

A: Ordering directly from my publisher (iUniverse) is the fastest and least expensive method of purchase besides books bought during book signings. Your local bookstore and/or online retailers will order the book from iUniverse then pass it along to you with additional fees to cover their expenses. Ordering directly from iUniverse avoids the 'middle man' and the extra expense and time that comes with it.

Q: What are you working on now?

A: My priority is completing the manuscript for Book I of the Tales of Earthenstone Series (TOE). Although, I am also currently editing a manuscript for my novella, titled Crack of Dawn (COD). It will be published after TOE. The best way I can describe COD is that it's a gruesomely sexy peice of literature, not for the easily disturbed. The majority of the current editing is due to the amount of research I'm doing to verify information crucial to the story. Once the synopsis is complete, it'll be listed under the 'Upcoming Works' section of the website. Simultaneously however, I am still writing short stories and poetry. I want to focus 100% of my literary time towards TOE, but the poems and short stories rise from my psyche when they feel like it. I am compelled to write them or create the story outline for them if its a short story. These are pleasant distractions, but I always feel exuberant when I'm able to return my focus to TOE after getting my poems and short stories out of my system.

Q: Is there anything else you would like to do?

A: Yes, I'd like to create an audio book of Storm Of Roses: A Compilation of Poetry & Short Stories. I'm looking into this only happhazardly now, but this is something I would like to do if connected with the right company.Since some of my expectant readers have inquired about the availability of Storm Of Roses in audio book format, I’d like to have it available for them. Also, it would give those who can not make it to my readings a chance to hear me for themselves. (update! E. Tara is currently in the studio working on the audio book for Storm of Roses!)

Q: Will you publish through iUniverse in the future?

A: I am very impressed with the knowledge, support, feedback, and professional services iUniverse has provided me. I may consider an alternative publisher in the future, but honestly I have been nothing but pleased with every aspect of iUniverse and my Publishing Services Associate, who has kept me informed from day one and who returns calls within minutes. Based on other Print on Demand (POD) publishers like iUniverse, they are the best - ranking #1 in PC Magazine as the best POD publisher. One of iUniverse's major investors is Barns & Nobles. Traditional publishers almost always pay less (7-10 royalty%), take longer and offer less control. I first considered publishing in 2001. Finally, after researching all of my options and compiling my manuscript, I decided on iUniverse and moved forward. iUniverse will publish Storm Of Roses in hardback, paperback, and eBook format. They are amazing.
