The Tales of Earthenstone Series

The Tales of Earthenstone Series is my most ambitious journey yet. My comfort zone includes poetry, short stories and novellas. Interestingly, the Tales of Earthenstone demanded more adventure and passion which resulted in a full-fledged first novel. It’s currently forming into a Trilogy, but I don’t want to limit its potential. There’re so many wonderful and intriguing things going on that I’m sure its destined to take on a life of its own.

Book I Overview:

Book I of the Tales of Earthenstone Series begins with Laoria McGarnett, a young woman nearing the end of her kitchen mastery apprenticeship. Due to circumstances regarding her family’s security, she has no other choice but to dress as a man. Laoria’s life quickly takes a dangerous turn as she is meticulously chosen for her kitchen mastery skills as one of the three new husbands of Queen Xerah IV of Earthenstone. Can she keep her identity a secret forever or tell it without being killed for deceiving the entire realm?

Amaron VelKoina is a untamed and bold specimen, the eldest son of Queen Vivilan of the neighboring Queendom of Lemonring. He prospered in their army, mastering hunting, war, and the broad sword. As a young man in waiting, he had been kept chaste from women and prepared for becoming a King to a powerful Queen. As Xerah’s first husband, he had given her three sons and none of the daughters she needed as heirs. When Xerah took three new husbands, Amaron bit his tongue and held his head high.

Yet, there was something strange about one of the Queen’s new husbands. He was hiding something under those delicate features and soft voice. What sort of man was not excited about becoming a King? It was obvious he was of the more...delicate and gentle type of men, not good for anything of consequence, like the breeding of daughters. This unassuming husband failed miserably at trying not to stare at Amaron's chiseled body. This was amusing and could prove quite interesting, considering Amaron was not a novice at initiating carnal attention from other men.  Only when secrets are revealed and love distorts logic can Amaron fulfill his destiny.

A young woman goes through great ends to save her family by masquerading as a man and marrying a Queen; but, to her dismay, she falls in love with the Queen’s other husband.
