Debut collection of poetry
& short stories,
reveals poet's promising entrance as a bold literary artist

Silver Spring, M.D. --This Winter, iUniverse will publish E. Tara Scurry’s first complete book of literary miracles, Storm of Roses: A Compilation of Poetry and Short Stories.

This young, twenty-something author has no qualms about exploring those matters some feel are best left under the carpet or in the farthest recesses of our minds. She writes impeccably honest and powerful with chapters titled Light Of Proverbs, Destiny of the Breathing, Clenching Fist, Elements, Tears Of Angels, White Hole, and Narratives Of The Wind.

What is fascinatingly enticing about this book is its affirmative recognition among readers who don’t normally take pleasure in poetry during their spare time. Scurry has contributed poems to the Timeless Mysteries Anthology, published in 2001 by the International Library of Poetry, Musings (2000) and Red Clay (2004) literary magazines.

A graduate of Sweet Briar College, Scurry earned her B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Law & Society. A year into her M.S. in Organization Development & Strategic Human Resources at Johns Hopkins University, she writes in her spare time. She is currently weaving together her first novel, tentatively titled Limitless Love, a tantalizing tale of suspense, gender-play and love in her upcoming Tales of Earthenstone series.
